Photographer Dominique Skeehan at Soft Pinecone Gallery December 3 thru January 3

Dominique Skeehan grew up in Denver and has always enjoyed the natural scenic splendor the great outdoors has to offer. She has spent many years in Colorado and regional wilderness hiking, camping, driving...and capturing the individual beauty of many locations through the art of photography.

Dominique’s images portray what she has seen - not imagined, not doctored.
Just the way it was at that moment.

“My work represents the spectacular gifts of Mother Nature as well as the simple beauty I’ve seen on the back roads of Colorado and beyond.”

Thank you for coming in and taking the time to view my work. I hope it inspires you to slow down and look around as you travel through life.

Dominique

Soft Pinecone Productions Studio & Gallery Welcomes Nicole Marie Roche

The Eye Behind The Camera
Born and raised in New Orleans, I always had the natural desire to live and work within the arts. While experimenting with different forms of art, even music and theatre, I went on to obtain my Art Education degree and a minor in Art History from L.S.U. I still dabble in various art mediums, but photography has become my passion! I have been photographing the world around me since I received my first camera at the age of eight. A masterpiece waiting to be discovered was peering back at me through my camera. After studying film photography for years and even teaching darkroom techniques to kids, I began to study the technological wonders of digital photography. With the opportunity to work directly with some of New Orleans' top photographers, plenty of photo shoots to always keep me busy, and my art on display around the city, life could not be going much better for me in New Orleans. But as Hurricane Katrina forced me to realize, there was still a world waiting to be discovered through the eyes of my camera. Subsequently, Denver, Colorado has become my new home and is now my view from behind the lens.
Nicole's work will be on display and for sale at Soft Pinecone Productions Studio & Gallery from July 31st through August 30th, 2008.

Dirivitive: Symmetrical Studies
the art of Nathan Beard

July 2008
Soft Pinecone Productions Studio & Gallery
Denver, Colorado

Nathan has named his oil painting series "Dirivities" because they are derived from ongoing works and processes. They are also repetitive derivations of each other. He has changed the spelling of derivative because he likes the symmetry that is formed by spelling it "dirivitives" It is also incredibly fun to type.

Nathan's Artist Reception will be Friday, July 4th, 2008 6pm to 9pm
Please join us in welcoming Nathan Beard to the gallery.
